James McNess Jr.
|
|
|
James McNess, Jr., is a son of James and Elizabeth, of
Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania, although for many years they resided in
Butler county, where his father died in 1843 and his mother in 1846.
James, Jr., came to Armstrong county in 1875 and settled at Girty, where
he commenced the manufacture of stone jugs and crocks, in which he is
still engaged. His business has increased until his annual sales aggregate
$5,000; he employs eight laborers. He was married in 1858 to Sarah Van
Dyke. Postoffice, Girty.
