Frank R. Hildebrand is the well known and
progressive secretary of the Guaranty Trust Company at Butler,
Pennsylvania. He was born at Elizabethtown, Lancaster County,
Pennsylvania, March 14, 1880, and is the son of John and Lavina C. (Raudebush)
Hildebrand.
Frank R. Hildebrand received his education in the
public schools of Butler and was graduated from high school in 1897. His
first employment was with the H. J. Klinger & Company as clerk and
bookkeeper, where he remained until February, 1903. He next be
came bookkeeper in the private bank of John Berg & Company, where he
remained until November, 1914, when he resigned to accept a clerkship with
the Guaranty Trust Company. He was appointed secretary of the company in
1921.
On October 24, 1912, Mr. Hildebrand was married to
Miss Charlotte Cumings, a daughter of Charles E. and Sarah (Burridge)
Cumings, natives of Lake County, Ohio, but now residents of East Brady,
Pennsylvania. To Mr. and Mrs. Hildebrand two children have been born:
Margaret J. and Sarah Catherine, both students.
Mr. Hildebrand is a Republican and has served his party as county
committeeman. He is a member of the First English Lutheran Church, the
State Grange, Sterling Club and Butler Country Club.
