C. A. Auer

C.A. AUER, JR., with C.A. Auer, Sr., tanner and currier, Corry,
was born February 10, 1856, and is a son of C.A. Auer, Sr., who has been
established in business in Corry since 1863, now on Pike street, but
formerly (till 1870) located on East Wayne street. Our subject attended,
with his brother, the German high School, Philadelphia. He learned
tanning, in which he has been engaged twelve years with his father, and
learned the trade of currier with C. Killeburger, a prominent man near
Akron, Summit Co., Ohio, by whom he was employed two years. Mr. Auer was
united in marriage, February 3, 1880, with Mary Waters, of Cuyahoga Falls,
Summit Co., Ohio. One child, Louis, born November 17, 1881, has blessed
this union. His brothers, G.A. and F.P., are also interested in the above
business.
